STATE MANAGERS CRITERIA AND BENEFITS
State Manager Criteria:
- We ask that you make a minimum commitment of a 4-year term.
- State Managers are encouraged to help raise funds for scholarships but it is not a requirement of participation in the program.
- Contact a high school with a JROTC program in your state and introduce yourself to the high school guidance counselor as the NVBDC JROTC State Manager. (The NVBDC program director will assist you with this process as needed).
- Work with the high school JROTC staff to identify potential applicantsfor the scholarship.
- The high school guidance counselor and JROTC State Manger will work collectively with the NVBDC director to screen and select a winning Cadet.
- Each applicant is required to draft an essay of 1000 words on the topic “What do veterans mean to America and its Citizens”.
- The winning applicant is required to upload the essay to our website once they are selected as the winner. NVBDC’s Program Director will provide you with a secure link to upload the essay and provide you with the login credentials.
- The scholarship is paid over a four-year period in four payments. The first three payments of $500 per year and the balance of $1000 is paid the fourth year.
- The winning applicant must sign the photo release allowing NVBDC to use images and likeness in its promotional activities.
State Manager Benefits:
- INDIVIDUAL PAGE – State Managers will have an individual page on our website under the State Manager tab which will contain your personal biography, photo, and information on your Business, if you are a business owner.
